Dual Bead Worm Gear Clamp stainless steel Perforated Band America Stainless Steel Hose Clamp American lined Pipe Clamp
Here's how to select an American-style cover hose clamp:
Pipe Diameter
- Accurately measure the outer diameter of the pipe to be fixed. The inner diameter of the hose clamp should be slightly smaller than the pipe's outer diameter, typically 0.5–1 mm smaller, to ensure a tight fit. For example, if the pipe’s outer diameter is 30 mm, choose a clamp with an inner diameter of 29–29.5 mm.
Tightening Force Requirements
- For high-pressure, high-vibration environments (such as automotive engines), select large-sized, high-strength clamps with a steel strap width of 12.7 mm or more to provide sufficient tightening force.
- For low-pressure ordinary water or gas pipes, medium or small-sized clamps with a strap width of 8–10 mm are suitable.
Working Environment
- In humid or corrosive environments (e.g., chemical workshops, outdoor wet areas), choose stainless steel clamps (e.g., 304, 316) for enhanced corrosion resistance.
- In dry, non-corrosive ordinary environments, galvanized carbon steel clamps offer better cost-performance.
Installation Space
- When space is limited, prioritize narrower clamps (e.g., 8 mm-wide small American-style cover clamps) for easy installation and space-saving.
- If space is ample, select clamps based on pipe diameter and tightening force requirements.
